I play in a 12 team dynasty league where you keep 7 players(lifetime) at the cost of thier draft round.

If you keep a 1st round guy you lose your 1st round pick. You keep a 23rd round guy you lose a 23 round pick. If you happen to keep 2 guys from the same round you just lose the round prior to the current draft round. You can not keep two 1st round players.

Roto scoring 6x5 (BA, HR, RBI, R, SBs, TB+BB & ERA, WHIP, K's, W's S's)

Hanley Rameriz.........25th round
Miguel Cabrera...........7th round
Delmon Young.................17th round
Justin Upton..................12th round
Alex Gordon...................20th round
Evan Longoria.................12th round
Jay Bruce......................12th round
Billy Butler.....................23rd round
Phil Hughes...................21st round
Tim Lincecum.................24th round
Stephen Drew.................24th round
Chris B Young(OF)............12th round

Now I have the 1st overall pick as well. (Will be either Soriano, Carlos Lee or Beltran all not being kept for various reasons)

Which 7 do I keep? I was thinking these 7: Hanley, Miggy C, Gordon, D. Young, Lincecum, Butler & then a toss up between Upton, C. Young, Hughes & Longoria

I would keep Chris Young. I honestly think he could be the next 40/40 guy.

i'd honestly keeper hughes and c-young. although gordon is nice to have, but you already have miggy who's not even in his prime yet 24 (arguebly), and in the center of one of the best lineups produced in decades. While gordon is stuck in kc... why not take a 30-30 guy and a top notch pitching prospect who is likely to make an impact this season

Can't you make a trade with all those 3B?

I have an automatic four:

HanRam
Miguel
Lincecum
Hughes

With those guys available with your #1 pick, I dont see the need to keep Chris Young.

To finish it out:

Jay Bruce
Justin Upton
Evan Longoria or Alex Gordon (your choice)

Young will be more of an immediate impact than Justin Upton, and may end being better than Upton in the long run.

That is certainly one opinion, and Young will probably go 25/25 this year and put up better numbers than Upton. But in the long run, I do not like Youngs K%/BB%. Upton will surpass Young in 2009 and beyond.

Yes this is for real...

Unfortuately, no I cant make any trades until the keepers are finalized & at that point I will only have the 7 players I keep...I wish.

I am absolutely keeping: Hanley, Miggy & Lincecum.

The last 4 is where the questions begin...

I dont think I can give up on Gordon just yet as a 20th...he is 8 rounds later Longoria.

Billy Butler is another one that as a 23rd is really tough to pass up...I really think this kid can rake.

I really struggle with what to do w/ Chris Young. His BA is horrible, but those 32 Hrs & 28 SBs as a rook are tough to give back...you would think his BA goes up right, but then he never has had a good average.

Upton vs Longoria is a toss up for me...both 12th rounders. I like them both better than Bruce.

We play both a 3b/CI & DH so I dont mind having excess 3bs.

Ugh....I may be bald by the keeper deadline!!
