i don't really have anyone in mind to pick up. my league uses holds and i've been punting it for an extra starter or closer depending on the week. i've been thinking of picking up the best holds pitcher available, but I've been trying to wait out penny's slump. is it really a slump, or is there something more to Penny's struggles? since he's a first half pitcher usually, is he going to be even worse in the second half, or is he going to be better and end up at his usual number per the law of averages?

im with you on this one, someone dropped him last week and i grabbed him thinking that he would have to turn it around at some point...i am going to give him a couple more starts and then make my decision then

Here's the deal with Penny - he's usually a 1st half pitcher. The fact that he's already pitching very poorly is concerning.

If I owned Penny, I'd probably try to trade him, or cut him if there were someone appealing on the waiver wire.

Brad Penny has always had not that good of peripherals, but he's always managed to pitch around them. This year they caught up with him. His numbers match what his peripherals say his numbers shouldve been all along. He shouldve been traded high, last year.
