Need opinons on a trade offer

I am in a 20 team league keeper league (we only keep 3) with 22 players per team, so it's a deep league. It's h2h with R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OBP, SLG, W, CG, SV, K, HLD, ERA, WHIP as the categories.

The offer is Schilling and Edgardo Alfonzo for Teixeira and Rolen. I would be getting Schilling and Edgardo. I don't think I should do this, even though i have Ensberg to replace Rolen, bu t I'd like to hear other opinions. Here's my team, as you can see my pitching is pretty awful Embarassed

Hey I don't throw all those stats out there, even though Shilling would be a fantastic addition Edgardo Alfonso sucks! You would lose on this deal. And thats all I got to say about that. Thumbs Down

There's a better deal for you out there.

For a 20-team league your offence looks decent. I'd sit back and pile up offensive stats for now.

The good news about your pitching is that you won't stockpile a ton of innings in a hurry, so when you eventually find your anchor he'll have a greater impact on your ERA/WHIP.

I agree that this deal just doesn't seem right for you. I recommend to try and shop Berkman or Rolen for an ace pitcher. Usually in multiplayer deals you are going to give up too much for what the pitcher is actually worth. Try and trade for one straight up, I'd possibly even think of dangling Beltran out there.

For a 20 team league, your offense is amazing. In H2H, you should win most of those categories.

For your pitching, if I read this correctly ... there are 7 categories. With your staff, you can probably win 4 out of the 7 categories (losing W, CG, K).

I would stand pat on this deal. There is ALWAYS a Esteban Loaiza every year to bolster a pitching staff.

H2H is totally different than overall category. All you got to do is beat your opponent in 8 of the 14 categories to win. I think you will easily do that ... so stand pat until somebody desperate for offense comes calling ... With your 3 catchers, I am sure somebody will want one ... you have the power!

Ok, thanks for the help. I just got another trade offer in the same league. I would be getting Pineiro and Crede and giving up Rolen and Broussard. I think this would be a good deal for me, since Crede is a candidate to have a breakout year, IMO, and i also get a solid pitcher. Should i do this deal? Thumbs Up

Yeah, that second deal looks pretty good - Pinerio may not be an ace yet, but, he is working on it, and he would be a good addition to your pitching staff. Crede, has a very good chance to make good this year, I would look for him to come into his own this season. Broussard, doesn't show me much yet, but, who know when??

Fired Up we agree here I like the move also. wood/Prior you have a really good offense this would be a good move with the flexability you have at third base
