Just traded what do you guys think?

Hey guys, just wondering what you thought of this deal, just traded Manny Ramirez and Schilling in a three way deal and got Prior in return along with Shawn Green and Juan Gonzalez, I have insurance for Juan Gonzalez with quality bench players and I upgraded my starting pitching I believe as well as having Juan and Shawn to combine to replace Manny somewhat, what do you all think? It's an 8 team league and u can see my roster a few posts below under my name on here, thanks guys.

When it takes two players to replace one in fantasy ball, you've been had. Also, I would not consider Prior an upgrade over Schilling. Schilling is the most proven SP over the last four years. I hope Shawn Green comes back with a vengence for you...Juan Gonzalez may be worth having, but his health makes him iffy.

Bradcelt, You gave up Manny and Shilling who both go in the top 2 rounds. I had Shilling as my second best pitcher behind Prior and Shilling has been going in Drafts no later than the second round. As for Manny I have seen him go as low as the third round. You got the best pitcher in the game right now but you also got Green and Juan both are going no earlier than the 7th round. I think you lost on this deal like the guy said above, Shilling is proven and so is Manny. Juan is injury prone and Green had a bad year last year and plays for the lowest run producing team in the National league.

I can't say your trade was a bad trade per say. Potentially you picked up 2 offensive forces to go along with the #1 pitcher in fantasy baseball this year. What you did incur was a lot of risk. I don't have Prior that far above Schilling to have been willing to take on the potential extra offense. Manny is gonna put up big numbers. If Gonzo is healthy, he could equal Manny's numbers, easily. Which would leave you Green who could give you an upgrade over whomever you were going to start in that spot. If your a fantasy player who likes high stakes risk/reward scenarios, this trade was worth taking the chance on. you sure didn't opt for the safe route. Smile

The problem is that you can't just combine Green and JGone's production. You have to bench somebody else that you were starting, so you lose that production also.
