Are any of these guys even worth keeping? They are all 5 dollar guys in a 20 team league with a 265 cap. I have to decide on 2 more guys from the likes of Jeff DaVanon, Nate Robertson, Cory Lidle, Nick Johnson, J.T. Snow, Luis Matos, and Edwin Jackson. Should I just suck it up and throw them all back in? I was initially thinking that I should keep Robertson and Matos, but I like the steals that DaVanon brings if he actually plays. Any suggestions?

Matos seems like the best value play of the bunch. You should end up with at least .260/10hr/15sb plus decent r/rbi when you factor in his teammates. But that's if he holds onto the job. At present he's the only real CF on the club but if he starts slow they might be tempted to slide Bigbie over to CF.

As for the rest, I don't think any of them are $5 guys. I know DaVanon has his fans, but I don't see him as anything more than a 5th OF for most fantasy clubs -- the kind you can scoop for $1-$3 in the endgame.

Robertson is probably a 4.50-5.00 ERA and 1.4-1.45 WHIP guy, which you don't need on your team. If you disagree with this impression of Nate feel free to take him in the reserves, but you don't need to pay $5.
