Lidge for Edmonds

really quick, he needs saves, i need power. i dont really wanna give up Lidge, but by the numbers its a Good deal. what do you think?

I hate trading pitching for hitting because the numbers are hard to evaluate. However, given the circumstances it looks like a Good trade.

considering what both sides need it is a decent trade, but as said before pitcher for hitter is harder to judge

I just traded burrel for Lidge in a mixed League so Edmonds is a gret deal for you..

i would say that trading Burrell for Lidge is a great move b/c it's selling high...not sure that Lidge for Edmonds is that great of a deal...tough to trade the best strikeout closer for a guy who has an injury history...

Tiger has a Good point Edmonds is always running into walls.I just like the Bat instead of the arm. Tough call whatever you need most.

If you need power and he needs saves, make the deal. the name of the game it making youself better at weak positions. I take into account that you already have a decent pen? The only way I wouldnt make the deal is if you also have a weak pen...just my thoughts.

ive got a few other decent closers, Mesa, Looper, just picked up Brazoban. Without Lidge i wont be as competitive in K's or saves, and I'm not sure Edmonds will be worth the extra power.

yeah without Lidge it seems like your bullpen takes a huge step down...

remember that Brazoban isnt gunna close for LA all season, i would keep Lidge personally, trade someone else for a bat...

you could try selling Brazoban while hes high to someone who isnt thinking straight at that time Thumbs Up

yeah i dont think ill do the trade, Edmonds May be worth more so technically its a Good trade, but i think my team would suffer trading Lidge. there are plenty of big hitters, but a shortage of great closers

got to keep Lidge, like they say their are a lot of bats out their compared to closers and as much as i like Edmonds i would still keep Lidge over him.
