I had Borowski and the next best RP at 161st overall was Baez, everyone else was gone. Was he a good pick at 161 (COrdero)....is he def. the closer? (btw I took him in a keeper league)

Which Cordero? Francisco (Texas) or Chad (Montreal)?

I would definitely say you reached on Chad Cordero at 161. You probably could have gotten him at least 40-60 picks later.

btw, its 14 team league, so closers went pretty fast since there are like 2 per team.

If het gets 35 saves like Biddle did lasts season i wil be happy. Thats wishful thinking.

Chad was a decent pick there- he has a chance to get some saves, but, you left Hoffman and Nen sitting out there - Nen might not be closing, but, Hoffman should be as far as I know - you could have also backed up Borowski with LaTroy Hawkins and Ryan Wagner is still there - hey, take some logical backups or setup RPs, on a lot of teams they are just about as likely to close as the designated one --- you have a pretty good team, not like mine with just a bunch of nobodys on it and 1 known closer with Fransisco, but, I have 3 possibles in Marte Riske and Valverde too...and I picked them before you picked Chad. Any league you can change pitchers daily, then you should have some RPs to back those SPs up, instead of trading some of your players that you PICKED over the other FAs that are left - people that change their pitching may lose some of their players that they drop to get those other SPs
I know that Koch Wickman and Mantei are supposed to be closing, but, they are not for sure things...especially with their stats from last season, but, they got some saves.. Mantei being the exception, but, he gets hurt too...and they are not going to pitch him 3 days in a row

Bidle enters spring training as the closer but I do not expect him to hold the position. Biddle was terrible when healthy and he is now coming off of knee surgery. Cordero and Ayala will compete for the save opps after Biddle fails and my bet is on Cordero.

Hoffman has been taken a while ago.
