3B Alternatives

I currently have Hillenbrand as my 3B-man. Choices on the waver list are:

Ensburg
Burroughs
Randa
Crede
Blake
Mueller

Are any of these any better than what I already have? 5x5 league with HRs, Runs, Avg., OBP & RBIs for position players.

Well I'd say Ensburg if Jimy Williams wouldn't platoon him with Mike Lamb.

I'm not sure what his problem is. He did it to Ensburg last year as well

Bill Mueller is a good option as well. Fenway Park. Hes a good hitter for AVG and he smacks alot of doubles. Probably will hit 15-18 HR's. THe rest of the guys are "ehhh" in my book but you just neer know.

We are all waiting for Joe Crede's big breakout.

With Randa its what you see is what you get.

Burroughs is a leadoff guy in a potentially good offense so he could score you some runs. No pop in the bat tho.

Casey Blake is eligible at 1B and 3B in most leagues. He's started off well.

Don't forget Melvin Mora may become eligible at 3B soon depending on youre league rules. Aubrey Huff as well if he plays enough at the hot corner.

But out of those guys I'd go with Bill Mueller unless the Mike Lamb project comes to a halt.

I pretty much agree with the above comments. I think Ensberg and Mueller are easily the best of the bunch. Surely they'll figure out Ensberg is their better man, so I'd go with him. If you have plenty of HRs and are low in OBP, I'd make it Mueller instead.

i would go with Bill Mueller but there is a kid at 3b who is real nice his name is WES Helms

If it is not a keeper league, go with Mueller for the quick gratification. If it is a limited keeper league (2 years or less) than look at Helms, whose #'s have improved and who is hitting his prime. In a longer keeper league, go with Burroughs, whose pop will come in a few years.
