why am i only in 6th place?

can someone help me figure out why i'm doing so poorly? i'm in a 12 team non-keeper league on yahoo.

i mean, i still think that i have a pretty decent team but cant understand why im not doing better. does anybody see anything that im not?

Without knowing exactly where you're lacking in the standings, I would say this:

Offense:

SB - With the exception of Matsui, your team doesn't have a lot of high-steal people. There are a few that should steal a few bags, but this group should put you in the middle on this stat.

HR/RBI - You have a solid power team, but not a great one. Konerko should start hitting better soon, which will help with that.

AVG - You have a couple of people draining you in this right now, namely Konerko. Dunn should hit about where he's at currently, so he would qualify as one also. The hard part I imagine is going to be recovering from the disaster that Jason Giambi was before he got hurt, because I am guessing you played him for a while before giving up on him.

R - I don't really see any elite run scorers here. Holliday and Cabrera are probably your best source of Runs, and the rest of the team will put you in the middle of the pack, probably toward the high end.

Pitching:

W - Haren, Webb and Escobar should probably all have more wins than they do, in my estimation. This one should come with time.

ERA/ WHIP - You've got a lot of starters that are doing you solid in this, but I would try to move Guthrie, Germano and Gaudin for someone with a little more of a track record of performance.

SV - In a 12 team, having 3 closers should probably do you well, but just keep watching the waiver wire as people get hurt. If Broxton, Capps, Otsuka, Okajima, or even Lidge are available in your league, I would probably go get them as speculation on some saves.

K - You've got a solid amount of K's it appears, but no one overpowering in that stat. Probably somewhere between 3rd and 6th in your league I am guessing.

OVERALL:

It looks like your team has been hit hard by injuries, and had some players underperforming. I would see which stats you can make up the most points in, and go from there on determining what you can deal and what you need.
