I have the #1 waiver in a 20 team dynasty league. Kershaw is taken in the minor league system. Do you think Masterson is worthy of the #1 waiver. I'm leaning against it, but i'm not sure if anybody of any greater value will be called up. Keep in mind I will also get the #9 waiver once i use the #1. I made a trade to get the other top 10 waiver conditional on my use of the #1. So i want to be able to get some value out of that waiver as well, so to do that it makes sense to use the #1 as soon as possible. This league also does its minor league draft after the MLB draft, so all the possible callups for this year could be taken. I'm not a huge fan of Masterson, but i think he might be my best bet at this point. What are your thoughts?

kind of hard to answer without fully understanding the system here, which i'm not sure i do. are guys like wieters and laporta already owned / going to be owned in this "minor league draft" of which you speak?

ok, so give me some names of a few other guys you think you might possibly be able to get instead of masterson. it's still kind of hard to parse the availability here.
