I would rather have the Braun/Upton side, especially if you have something decent to plug into the SS position.

I wouldnt be so quick to make that deal. Reynolds Ks a lot but so does Howard. I think they have similar approaches and could end up with very similar numbers in a year or so. Hanley's value far exceeds Uptons. I like Doumit over AJ, but come on theyre C who cares.

Sure if you can afford a 3 week cold streak that runs off and on throughout the season then Reynolds is fine but I would rather have Braun and Upton compared to Hanley and Reynolds.


Its not like Hanley is running as much, Upton beats his SB by 4 and Braun and has way more pop then either Reynolds or Hanley.

While the Braun/Upton side of the deal is better on paper for sure, it may depend on the rest of your roster and your league format.

Going into this year Braun was eligible at 3B and Upton at 2B. That's not the case next year - they'll both be OF'ers. Braun and Upton are still awesome OF'ers, but that does detract from their value, especially Upton's, IMO. So if you're in a keeper league, keep in mind the eligibility changes.

If this is a standard league (i.e. non-keeper) make the trade, and don't look back.
