I am losing Albert Pujols in my 12 team 5x5 mixed keeper league and need to pick someone up in his place. Here are my options:

I will move Mark Teixeira to the starting 1B spot, have Ryan Braun at 3B and then could go at CI with Adrian Beltre or Andy LaRoche off my bench. That leaves Akinori Iwamura as my DH. Or I could pick up one of the following bats from the WW:

Jorge Cantu
Melvin Mora
Mark Teahen
Lyle Overbay
Casey Blake
Gary Matthews
Daric Barton
Ben Francisco
Ray Durham
Kevin Millar

Who would you pick up?

At this point i think i would rather have Cantu over Iwamura anyway. In a 12 team league Iwamura isnt worth much.

Yep, Cantu is showing flashes of 2005 he is way better then Iwamura at this point

I picked up Cantu...also was able to nab Brandon Morrow but it cost my Andrew McCutchen's bench spot...good idea?

How many keepers do you get? Tough to say. If youre in line to win this year. Morrow is going to provide you some saves for a while, plus he has #2 upside as a starter, and i looks like you got plenty of OF.
Whatever league you are in must have some really horrible other managers. How the hell did you get all that talent?

We can keep up to 15.

I have been carefully crafting this team for a few years now, with some good luck in prospecting (Pujols, Braun, etc.) and some trades...and some bad management from enough teams in my league...cannot believe how much people fall in love with who they draft!
