Kershaw for Hart

In my 12 team 5x5 mixed keeper league, what do you think about me dealing Clayton Kershaw $6 and Carlos Gonzalez $3 for Corey Hart $7?

I am in first by 15 points, but am overloaded at OF - already have Beltran, Sizemore, Markakis, Braun, and Pence under contract for next year. We do start 5 OF and a UTIL spot, so I could make room for Hart that way.

I also already have Peavy, Sabathia, Zambrano, Hernandez, and Lincecum at SP as well as Ervin Santana as another possible SP keeper.

Our trade deadline in coming up soon, so I could use some input.

Thoughts?

Out of all of these deals you've posted for input for this team, has there been even one trade made at all?.....just curious.......

Nope...a lot were put up for input before or after an offer was made...

Most were taken back by one owner or another...

From my point of view, I am in no big hurry to deal, just looking to maintain my lead while setting myself up for another nice run next year and beyond...

Oh wait, I did deal Kershaw/LaRoche for Morneau. But the commish nixed the deal as a dump.

It caused a huge controversy as the league rules said he could not veto it by himself and had to put it to a vote...he refused and then quit the league when the other owners approved the deal.

After all this, the guy I made the deal with changed his mind after hearing people's opinions and because of what happened. He asked for Felix Hernandez instead and I said no. Kershaw then went on a nice run here showcasing his potential and now this is the same owner back again offering my Hart $7 (or even Morneau $12).

I think I like Hart's multiple category contributions, but he also owns Brandon Phillips as well and that is a position I am weaker at. Although Phillips is not doing much right now.

You still can upgrade at 2b but frankly, right now, I'd feel pretty good about Alexei who's only going to get better.

FWIW, we can keep up to 15 players.

I already have Sizemore, Braun, Beltran, Markakis, Pence, Pujols, Teixeira, Zambrano, Peavy, Sabathia, KingFelix, and Lincecum under contract. That is 12.

I currently plan on keeping Alexei Ramirez and would keep Kershaw for sure. Maybe Weeks, Santana, or Morrow (depending on how he looks as a starter). Rollins and K-Rod are too expensive.

So is Hart an upgrade over these potential keepers?
