12 team league, head to head. 3 Utility Spots
Stats: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS, W, CG, SV, K, ERA, WHIP

I can keep 6, and no more than 2 at one position.

Right now, I'm in the finals, even with the injuries to my most productive players in my lineup. Hopefully I can win this year....

C- Teagarden
1b - Pujols
2b - Barmes
SS - Orlando Cabrera
3b - ARam
OF - Jason Bay
OF - Alex Rios
OF - Nelson Cruz
Util - E Dukes
Util - Ethier
Util - Cantu
Bench D. Span
DL - Carlos Quentin, Brandon Phillips, Carlos Lee

Lincecum, Webb, Lilly, Oliver Perez, Meche, P Martinez, Ziegler, Devine,
D Price, Marmol, Balfour

Lincecum and Webb are no brainers I think.
Pujols, Aram are most likely definite keepers.
So basically the last 2 spots is between Bay, Quentin, Phillips, and Lee.

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Obvious choices are Pujols, ARam, Lincecum, and Webb.

You can't have more then one OF. That's kind of dumb.

I would definitely keep Bay, he's going to be a monster in Boston.

And if you can have two OF, I would keep Quentin over Phillips and Lee. Phillips numbers have fallen off a little and Lee is getting older and has no support.

I might consider keeping Price too.

No more than 2 players at one position. So yes, I could definitely keep both Bay and Quentin.
Is Quentin a sure shot to repeat his 08 numbers?

I'm liking Price as well, but who would I keep out to take his place?

No reason why Quentin cant keep it up. He was very underated at the beginning of the year.

Its a tough call, if you want to go with a youth movement I would keep Price and Quentin and drop ARam, hoping to pick him back up again in the first round of the draft or whatever stud 3b is left in the first round. That's prolly what i would do.

A 3b whose going to be under the radar next year, is Zimmerman. You might be able to wait a couple rounds to get him in the draft. I'm predicting a big bounceback next year. ARam is replaceable is basically what i'm getting at.

I could also attempt to trade ARam to another team in the offseason, whether it be for draft pick(s) or players.
If I do decide to keep Price, would I even be able to?
Technically he's a SP, and I can only keep two starting pitchers.
Unless he doesn't qualify for the starting pitcher category, in which case he would be a relief pitcher.
Zimmerman was a keeper last year, I wonder if he will repeat again this year.
Also, keep in mind, I'm either going to have the last or second to last pick in the draft if I don't trade ARam, so a stud 3b like ARam probably won't last too long.

If you're playing on Yahoo, Price is only an RP right now, and I don't think that there is enough games left for him to gain SP eligibility. I like Pujols, Ramirez, Bay, Price, Lincecum, and Webb.

This is only a 12 team league. Meaning there will be tons of talent available. I'm more partial to Quentin over Ramirez, because he has more pop. The benefit of Ramirez is you fill 3b. 3b is harder to come by then an OF in the draft. So, you have to weigh out possible 40-50 hr OF vs. 30 hr 3b. Your giving up 10-15 hr but your filling a harder position. Personally i would go with the hr. Really cant go wrong either way. You'd be dropping ARam and Cantu. If you dont get ARam back try to land Cantu again a couple rds later.

Other possible 3b available in the draft: Zimmerman, Edwin Encarnacion (still waiting to break out), somebody might give up on Alex Gordon (due for a breakout), Andy LaRoche (you could get him in later rounds, and could be a big surprise), Wes Hodges (likely be Clev 3b out of ST, could be a rookie sensation), I also think Ian Stewart is eligible at 3b (can be picked up in later rounds), Troy Glaus has had a bit of a resurgence. I just think there are a lot of possible breakout opportunities at 3b next year that you can pick up in later rounds if you dont get ARam back.

So i would go with Pujols, Quentin, Bay, Price, Lincecum, Webb

Thanks for the replies guys, this has certainly made my decision a little easier!
I'm not sure exactly if I'm going to take Aram or Quentin, but I do have plenty of time to decide.
