I EXPECTED BIG THINGS FROM Bonds AND GAVE UP A LOT TO GET HIM. HE GETS SO MANY WALKS THAT IT REALLY AIN'T DOING ANYTHING FOR ME. I START HIM ALL THE TIME BUT HE SITS ALMOST EVERY 4 OR 5 GAMES. I WAS THINKING OF OFFERING HIM FOR EITHER MIKE Lowell OR SAMMY Sosa. AS YOU ALREADY KNOW SAMMY IS ON THE DL BUT I CAN STILL BE FINE UNTIL HE COMES OFF. DO YOU THINK SAMMY WILL PUT UP BETTER NUMBERS THAN Bonds WHEN HE GETS BACK? I AM STILL WEAK AT THIRD BASE ALSO AND Lowell MIGHT BE A POSSIBLE DEAL. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Well this is where each teams situation is unique. Normally I would never encourage anyone to trade Bonds unless the deal is supersweet. In your situation it is true that you have very good depth in the OF. Lowell would be a HUGE upgrade at 3B for you. One thing to consider... Lowell tends to cool off after the allstar break. Over the last 3 years his OPS drops 100 points in the second half compared to the first half.

In your case you could comfortable make the trade for balance, though I do feel over the course of the season Bonda will have the better numbers.
