Its just one start, grant-it probably the single worst start i have ever seen by a pitcher, but none the less a single start. I knew going into the season that he was going to be very inconsitent, and this is what i get. 47 era 7.5 whip. curses.

He hurt me too but my team had a 9 ERA before he started so it didn't matter than much. Of course I dropped him after the game. I knew he was going to be inconsistent but I couldn't afford to have him on my team when I am not going to be comfortable enough to start him anytime soon.

if he was ever to improve, it was as the season went along... He could still become a very good pitcher...

If Kenny Rogers can Walk a player on bases loaded in a do or die playoff game making his team loose, and then going on to become the Ace of a team, theres hope for anybody...

but its not worth it keeping him on a fantasy team.. hes too risky.

Don't be so hard on yourself OPEC , leave that to us. Razz

You are not the only one that thinks highly of Daniel Cabrera. I expect good things from him also this year. I'll admit it was a bad outing but he will come around , now I don't think he will be a 20 game winner but I think he will be a good value for where he was drafted in most of my leagues. It's hard to ignore he almost struck out a batter an inning last year.

A couple of my recommended picks are producing well this year. Chris Shelton and Jose Castillo. Cool

I'm on board with Cabrera as well. I picked up Verlander as soon as he earned a rotation spot and was very pleased with the confidence a win against Texas gives us. Detriot is looking like a good team early on. And it is early on, so I'll wait until the end of this month to get too worried about anything. Gagne could even begin throwing again come May...

Like chazoom said it's just one start. Give it some time and I'm sure he will come around and be productive. Remember , one start does not determine a pitchers future success.

I didn't get to see the game. I just don't think he is going to get all Rick Ankiel on us and no longer be able to find the strike zone.
