There are three closers on the waiver wire, I was wondering which one is the main closer and which I should pick up.

the only starting closer is mecili, the others won't ge the job. they are all pretty weak. i would do a package deal and get better ones through that

when going with a closer, its more important to judge them on the value of their team as opposed to what they can do.

marlins = very bad.
royals = worse.

d. rays = iffy, especially when they have to go up against their division, but look the most promising, so i would go with Dan Miceli over Joe Borowski or Ambiorix Burgos.

whats with the package deal stuff?


1. Micelli until Orvella takes it back, if at all.

2. Borowski, not many chances and not that good of a pitcher anyways

3. Burgos, its the Royals, they wont even win 40.

Forget Burgos, he's probably there holding the fort for MacDougal. Neither one is worth going after unless you are desperate.

Micelli might last a little one, but he's murder on ERA and WHIP. Orvella should take over there, sooner rather than later.

Borowski might be the best option if you want someone with a good hold on the closing job, but I'd be checking on Chad Orvella as well.
