what is the best position for a draft order, i get to pick the order, where should i go? 10 teams in the league.

This year this is consensus number one so that would be ideal. I personally like 3 or the end picks.

I recall reading a study that said it was advantageous to pick in the top 3 as opposed to near the end of the first round.

I'd probably want to be first to grab Pujols. He's just so good.

Or fourth and grab santana to start (since Albert, Reyes, Howard, Soriano, and ARod always seem to be going in the top three) you might even get him in the fifth spot but your pushing your luck.

I'd say somewhere in the top 5 would probably be the best if your not doing random for some odd reason.

The order doesn't mean too much after the first two or three rounds IMO, except picking at the ends is difficult to predict who'll be around next round.

If its a snake draft, I like to go near an end. Either in the first 2 or last 2. It gives you a little more control over the darft. Talent in the first round is relatively even, especially in a 10 team league. THere is not as much of an advantage drafting in the first couple of slots in a league that size as compared to a 12 or 15 person league.
