Do you guys think he will repeat his performance from last year? Where would you rank him in terms of shortstops?

IF he stays healthy I think he can easily be a top 5 SS. Bettter than M. Young and maybe better than Tejada if he can maintain his SBs.

He's a 5 category player who is in a contract year for whatever that's worth. Guillen is getting seriously underrated in most circles and that is due mostly to his health record.

The main thing to worry about is his injuries.

Last year he had some hamstring troubles but was kept productive by the management of Leyland. In years prior (Trammell era) the Tigers had no choice but to play him everyday. Leyland seems to have his needed rest down.

Look for the same as last year but throw in some more runs due to the improved line-up.

I think that is a bit high on the list. Look at guys like Michael Young who has had over 200 hits in his past 4 season, or Bill Hall who put up 35 HR's from the SS position, 10 more than his nearest competition. I would even throw Tejada in there above him.

My Rankings look like this:
Reyes
Jeter
Tejada
Rollins
Young
Furcal
Hall
Ramirez
Guillen

I've got Guillen in Tier 2 with Renteria, Ramirez, and Furcal.

id place him 6th or 7 depending on the kind of league I was in and the team around him. If you look at Reyes, Ramirez and Rollins as being the top three at the position. Then Jeter and Tejada, then maybe Furcal or Guillen depending on wheteher you need Furcals speed or Guillens power.

Not sold on Hanley? I kind of agree. I think Ramirez and Uggla are going to regress a fair amount this year.
